Chase Haislip - Coach

Chase Haislip is a 19 year old student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He graduated in 2009 from Charlotte Catholic High School, and swam at South Park Swim and Tennis Club for six years before graduation. He competed at the club level for four years, swimming at both Team Charlotte Swimming and New South Swimming. He studies History at Chapel Hill, and has lived in South Charlotte for 13
years.

Kate Simpson - Head Coach

I am Kate Simpson, I am 18 years old and a, soon to graduate, senior at South Mecklenburg High School.  I am excited to say that I will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall.  I have been surrounded by swimming my entire life and have been so lucky to grow up swimming at Huntingtowne Farms, now the awesome South Park Swim and Tennis Club.  This is my final of eleven years swimming at SPSTC.  I also swam year-round at Team Charlotte Swimming for eight years.  I am a WSI certified swim instructor and have been teaching swim lessons at SPSTC for two years.  This year I was named head captain of the girl’s varsity swim team at South Meck and loved every minute of my four years there.  I was also named a co-captain of the varsity volleyball team this year so if I’m not in the pool I will probably be out on the sand volleyball court.  I have been a coach at SPSTC for the past two summers and am so excited to return this year with the wonderful coaching staff that surrounds me!

Erin Mauldin - Coach

Age: 19

School: UNC at Chapel Hill

Graduated from: South Mecklenburg High School

Summer League Swimming: Cameron Wood Swim Team, 10 years

Year Round Swimming: Team Charlotte Swimming, 6 years

Coaching Experience: N/A, but experienced in instructing swim lessons

Other: I so excited to coach this summer and I can’t wait to meet everyone at the pool!
